Which fileformat should I use?

Plucker: Text-/HTML-files, JPEG-, GIF-, PNG-Bilder Textformats as bold/italic will be kept Use it to read websites or to carry images on your PDAzTXT: Textfiles (no Textformats) Unbeatable. Use it to read (especially long) texts Palm Doc (Aportis): Textfiles (no Textformats) Supported by all Doc-Readers, only weak compression.

How do I use pdaConverter with the Mozilla Browser?

You can use pdaConverter with Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox.1.) Install the DownloadWith-Extension and restart the browser. 2.) Now open the extension dialog via Tools → Extensions and open the configure dialog for the Download With-Extension. 3.) Click Create new application and enter the following values: Identification: pdaConverter Label: pdaConverter Command: This depends on your installation, should be something like C:\Program Files\pdaConverter 1.3\pdaConverter.exe Arguments: [URL] 4.) You can now pass a link to pdaConverter if you perform a rightclick on a link and select Download With → pdaConverter

   Rafael, you’ll need to revise your download links. The parent company of the PalmGear site, Motricity, merged PalmGear with the sister PocketGear site. In the process, they dropped *all* Palm freeware, including your titles. They now only host Palm titles for sale, where they get a cut of the sales price.

   Your PDAssi links still work, but the PalmGear ones don’t.

   Thanks for the hint. I removed the link to Palmgear and changed the pdassi-links, so non-german visitors are directed to the english version of pdassi.

   Hallo, habe versucht den pdaconverter zu installieren. Das Conduit wird nicht installiert.
   Es passiert:

   1.Hotsync – Fehler in Anwendung Die Ausnahme “unbekannter Softwarefehler” (0X0eedfade) ist in der Anwendung an Stelle 0×7c812a7b aufgetreten.

   2.runtime Error 217 at 00D72A1A. Palm T3 und Palm Desktop 4.1.4
   Der Fehler unter 2. tritt dann mehrfach auf, solange ich den pdaconverter installiert lasse, erst bei Deinstallation des selben ist der Fehler weg.

   Hi Dirk,

   das Conduit funktioniert nicht in allen Umgebungen fehlerfrei. Du kannst den pdaConverter im Prinzip auch ohne das Conduit im vollen Umfang nutzen. Die einzige Einschränkung besteht darin, dass du erstellte Dateien nicht in beliebige Verzeichnisse auf der Erweiterungskarte installieren kannst. sondern auf den Hotsyncmanager bzw. das Installationstool angewiesen bist. Verneine hierfür die Frage beim ersten Programmstart, ob die Kartenfunktionalität verwendet werden soll.

   Hi Dirk,

   Sind Dir irgendwelche Unvertraeglichkeiten von pdaconverter 1.3.7 mit Winxp SP3 (32 Bit) bekannt ? Nachdem ich pdaconverter auf einem neuen PC mit Winxp SP3 (32 Bit), funktioniert pdaconverter nicht. Ich kann das Programm starten und meine Dateien in die Liste einfuegen. Wenn ich auf “plucker” clicke, oeffnet sich wie normal das “Thread”-Fenster und dann haengt alles bis “Cancel All Threads” geklickt wird. Hast Du da irgendeine Idee ?

    there is only little chance that I will develop pdaConverter any further. you may want to have a look at this site for possible alternatives.
